Knowledge & updates
Legal knowledge is versioned data — statutes, regulations, guidance and year-specific limits — kept outside the model. Updating it never requires retraining the model.
Law parameters by plan year
Each plan year’s limits are a data record sourced from the IRS cost-of-living notice for that year; the engine reads the record for the plan year under examination.
What a parameter update changes
Switching the plan-year record re-runs the same deterministic checks with different inputs, and no code or model changes.
Rule library
Every finding cites a rule with an identifier, an authority and a version; rules backed by the calculation engine carry regression tests.
Regression suite
Hand-computed expectations for the calculation engine run in the browser on demand and in node before each release.

Change log
Only changes actually made to the knowledge base and engine for this demonstration, newest first.
Reviewer feedback → evaluation set
When an examiner or manager returns or modifies a finding, the reason is captured and queued for review as a candidate golden-set case.
Pinned versions
In production these are pinned per release and every finding records them.
Knowledge sources
Primary sources the knowledge base is built from; each link opens the authoritative text.
Synthetic demonstration. Regression tests cover the deterministic calculation engine only; they are not an accuracy measure of the extraction model.
